Events and achievements
As a charitable organization, NBS has achieved many milestones over the years such as a 100% result in 5th standard, no dropout rate in its own school, and an Indo-Russian cultural exchange program. Through these achievements, we have been able to provide children with an environment that encourages them to excel and reach greater heights.
Nehru Bal Mela
(NBS) is proud to present its flagship event, the BalMela. This event was first inaugurated by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in 1963 on Universal Children's Day. Initially starting as a small, one-day event, the BalMela has grown to become a meaningful exercise in fostering creativity through various forms of art such as painting, toy making, poetry, and performing arts like classical and folk dances, solo music, and skits on important social and environmental issues.
The BalMela is an event that is not to be missed, as it provides a unique cultural and social integration setting for children. With education, cultural programs, and recreational activities, the Mela is packed with activities that will leave children feeling inspired and motivated. And the ones who excel in the competitions are recognized and awarded every year, which encourage them to achieve greater heights. Mark your calendars, and join us for a day filled with fun, learning and inspiration.
Experience the Magic of BalMela: A Celebration of Children's Talent and Creativity
Over the years, the BalMela has become a platform for thousands of child artists from Delhi and neighboring towns to come together and showcase their talents, while also learning from one another through interaction and exposure. With a participation of around 20,000 children, the BalMela symbolizes a new effort of cultural integration through intellectual pursuits, recreational activities, and joy rides.
