NBS Campus

Nestled in the heart of Delhi’s Masjid Moth neighbourhood, the Nehru Bal Samiti (NBS) campus spans approximately 2.5 acres of tranquilly landscaped grounds. Surrounded by residential communities and easily accessible by public transport, our campus provides a peaceful, secure environment where children learn, play, and grow.

Infrastructure & Layout

Main Academic Block: A two storey building housing 12 spacious, naturally lit classrooms, each outfitted with ergonomic furniture and smart boards for interactive lessons.
Administration Wing: Offices for the Principal, Vice Principal, and support staff, plus a dedicated meeting room for parent teacher consultations.
Library & Resource Centre: A 1,200 sq ft library stocked with over 5,000 titles in English, Hindi, and regional languages, plus a multimedia corner with educational software.
Computer & Digital Lab: Twenty workstations running MS Office suites and age‑appropriate learning applications, supporting our Digital Literacy programme.

Sustainability Features

25 kW Solar Photovoltaic Array: Roof mounted panels that offset up to 60% of the campus’s daytime electricity needs.
On‑Site Organic Farm: A half acre plot where students learn to grow vegetables and herbs using eco friendly techniques.
Rainwater Harvesting System: Rooftop collection funnels rain into two 50,000 L underground tanks, supplying irrigation and sanitation needs.

Learning & Activity Spaces

Science & Innovation Lab: Equipped with microscopes, glassware, and demonstration kits for hands on experiments.
Arts & Craft Studio: A light filled studio stocked with paints, clay, fabrics, and upcycled materials for creative exploration.
Auditorium: A 300 seat, air conditioned hall with a stage, lighting, and sound system, hosting assemblies, performances, and guest lectures.
Sports Courts & Playgrounds: A multipurpose court for basketball and volleyball, plus a shaded playground with swings, slides, and obstacle courses.

Security & Accessibility

Perimeter Fencing & CCTV: 24×7 surveillance across the campus, with trained security personnel at entry and exit points.
Accessible Design: Ramps, handrails, and specially designed washrooms ensuring full inclusion for students and visitors with mobility challenges.

Bal Vikas Vidyalaya

Our flagship program

Bal Vikas Vidyalaya is a co-ed primary school located in Masjid Moth, Delhi, that has been operational for over four decades. The school was founded with the aim of providing underprivileged children with the same quality of education and facilities that are available at the best schools in the country.

Education

At Bal Vikas Vidyalaya, we believe that every child should have access to quality education, regardless of their financial status or location, so that they can thrive in the future. Our pre-primary and primary-level education program is taught in English-cum-Hindi and enrolls around 300 students each year. All students come from low-income households.

Our fee structure is designed to be affordable and accessible to all students. As a charitable society, we charge a nominal fee, but for students who are unable to afford it, we offer full scholarships and 50% scholarships (currently being given to at least 10% of students enrolled in the school).

Our approach to education is holistic, focusing on academics, co-curricular activities, and sports. We work towards the development of student's mental and physical well-being by imparting yoga training and teaching them values and life skills. We also have an intelligent lab with computers to aid visual learning for children.
